Project Overview

Researchers would like to speak with people in the San Jose area about how they cook, socialize around food, and use home appliances as part of the experience.

Format

This project is composed of 3 parts:

• Part 1: Complete an online journal over 2 days (~2 hours total)
• Part 2: Complete another online journal with friends over 3 days (ask friends to join you, ~3 hours total)
• Part 3: In-home interviews (casual discussion at home with friends from part 2 and a researcher, ~2 hours)

Schedule

Research is scheduled to take place from March 31 - May 5, 2017.

Location

Part 1/2: online
Part 3: in-home at your residence (not all participants will be asked to do this part)

Compensation

Participants will receive: 

• Part 1: $125
• Part 2: $125 (main participant and invited friends each)
• Part 3: $250 (hosts), $125 (friends)
• OPTIONAL: Some will be asked to host an in-home camera for several days -- $150
